this weekend i am down in south jersey to spend a pre-christmas weekend with my family. right now, i am at my dad's waiting for everyone to wake from their slumber to begin a festive day of gift giving, sledding, and spending time with one another. i am not asleep because i am really a five year old who couldn't stay in bed because i was too excited about the snowfall that began last night. i wish everyone would wake up to enjoy the view, a winter wonderland, but i guess i will wait for now in the quiet and stillness of the morning, watching the snow swirling in the wind and listen to the wind chimes play a twinkling tune that is too perfect for words.
tomorrow we are all heading over to my mimom's house, which is conveniently located 5 minutes from my dad's house. everyone is going to be there, my brother with his wife and son, my sister and her fiance, my mom and kirk with jack their dog. it will be another perfect night of family, so that will make two in a row for patrick and me!
monday we are heading back to brooklyn to get ready for a whirlwind of more christmas adventures! beginning the following morning, our first stop will be tennessee to visit patrick's dad and his wife judy. we have some great things planned including: bowling, checking out the planetarium at mt. rhone, and possibly (if the snow stays a while longer) tubing!!!! after we leave tennessee on sunday, we are going to kentucky for a day and then it is off to the bahamas! i will be blogging about all the fun things we do there, for it has been some time since i had an actual travel blog entry! i am super excited!
